During 2022 three members of our department collaborated with the Faculty of Education, UWB as part of the Stavaři, let’s go! project and helped create a wide range of practically-oriented lectures designed for high school students of technical fields. Several short videos made in various language mutations and featuring professional terminology and topics were also created within the framework of this project.  

In March 24 – 25, 2022 a number of Department members took part in the traditional and very popular Anglophone conference in Hradec Králové, where they presented the outcomes of their long-term research endeavours. 

In late 2022 our colleagues Veronika Quinn Novotná and Jiřina Dumková celebrated a major publication success with their article The Role of English Literature in Teaching Englishes: Moving Towards Educating Transcultural Communicators, which was published in a Slovenian journal titled English Language Overseas Perspectives and Enquiries.
